Romania is in the same category as Bulgaria in ECHA's May 2026 overview, with one difference. Submissions through the ECHA portal reach Romania and you may place the mixture on the market after validation, but the member state won't appear under 'dossier received by' in the submission report; Romania hasn't confirmed how it collects the dossiers.
Romania also has a registry of its own: ReTox, the national toxicological information registry operated by the National Institute of Public Health (INSP). Its portal now shows only a password-protected page, and whether it still takes notifications could not be confirmed. If you sell into Romania, notify through the ECHA portal in Romanian, and ask the appointed body and INSP whether a ReTox registration is still expected before launch.
