Poison centre notification in Luxembourg

Luxembourg has no receiving system of its own: under a 2015 cooperation agreement rooted in Article 10(4) of the Luxembourg Law of 16 December 2011, the Belgian Poison Centre acts as the appointed body for all hazardous mixtures placed on the Luxembourg market, and Luxembourg callers reach it on the freephone number 8002-5500.

Duty holders submit through the ECHA Submission portal in French or German (with English recommended alongside German), wait for the confirmation of receipt that Luxembourg — like Belgium — requires before placing on the market, and pay nothing: unlike declarations for the Belgian market, Luxembourg-market declarations carry no fee.

The submission itself is the same in every member state that accepts the ECHA route: a PCN dossier in ECHA’s current format, carrying the mixture’s UFI, full composition, and product category.
