Poison centre notification in Greece

Greece splits the appointed-body role between the General Chemical State Laboratory (under the tax authority AADE) and the National Poison Information Centre at the P & A Kyriakou children's hospital in Athens. PCN dossiers go through the ECHA Submission portal, in Greek, with no national fee and no confirmation-of-receipt wait.

Detergents carry extra national paperwork in Greece. Cleaning products classified as hazardous are also registered in the General Chemical State Laboratory's National Chemical Products Registry, and a parallel registration of cleaning products with the Poison Centre follows from the EU Detergents Regulation. Both are separate from the harmonised PCN.

The submission itself is the same in every member state that accepts the ECHA route: a PCN dossier in ECHA’s current format, with the mixture’s UFI, its full composition and its product category.
