Poison centre notification in Finland

Finland is the only EU/EEA country in ECHA's overview that requires notification in multiple official languages: PCN dossiers for the Finnish market must carry the content in both Finnish and Swedish. Everything else about the route is standard — ECHA portal, no fee, market access once automated validation passes.
Finland also keeps a genuinely separate national obligation: the chemical notification to Tukes through the KemiDigi system under the national Chemicals Act, distinct from and additional to the Annex VIII PCN. Tukes shares the appointed-body role with the Poison Information Centre hosted at Helsinki University Hospital (HUS).
What to watch for in Finland
- Both Finnish AND Swedish are required in the dossier — the only dual-language requirement in the EU/EEA.
- Separate national KemiDigi chemical notification to Tukes remains mandatory.
- Two appointed bodies: Tukes and the HUS Poison Information Centre.
