Poison centre notification in Bulgaria

Bulgaria is not yet receiving PCN dossiers through the ECHA route. ECHA's May 2026 overview says so plainly: submissions through the ECHA portal are technically possible, but the member state isn't ready to receive them, and dossiers sent that way won't appear as received in your submission report. In practice Bulgaria still expects notifications through its national channel, in Bulgarian.
The setup is provisional too. ECHA lists the Ministry of Health only as a temporary appointed body, and the Toxicology Clinic at the N.I. Pirogov emergency hospital runs the national poisoning-information service. An amendment to the national chemicals act is before Parliament: the bill passed its first reading on 1 October 2026 and would make the National Centre of Public Health and Analyses the receiving body, with submission through ECHA's platform. Until it's adopted, contact the Ministry of Health before relying on any submission route.
